Financial Assistance Programs

We believe that every player should have the opportunity to participate in hockey.

If you require financial assistance to support your daughterโ€™s participation, there are several local, regional, and national programs available to help offset the costs associated with organized sport.

๐Ÿ’ Hockey-Specific Funding

Hockey Canada Foundation - Assist Fund

The Assist Fund supports Canadian youth hockey players by helping cover registration costs.

  • Up to $500 per player in registration subsidies
  • Available to players registered with a sanctioned Hockey Canada association
  • Donations also accepted to support access to hockey across Canada

 General Sport Funding Programs

Jumpstart (Canadian Tire)

Jumpstart helps children from families in financial need participate in sports and recreation.

  • Ages: 4-18
  • Funding up to $300 per child
  • Covers registration, equipment, and/or transportation
  • One program per child per season
  • Multiple children per family may be supported

KidSport Canada

KidSport provides financial assistance to help remove barriers to sport participation.

  • Ages: Up to 18 years
  • Supports registration costs for organized sports

Champions for Kids (UCDSB)

Provides discreet financial support to families within the Upper Canada District School Board.

  • Supports sports, arts, and extracurricular activities
  • May also assist with basic needs (e.g., winter clothing, minor medical expenses)

The Good Samaritan Trust Fund (CDSBEO)

Supports students within Catholic school communities.

  • Applications submitted through school principals
  • Funding based on demonstrated need and board approval
