  • Jumpstart supports children between the ages of 4 and 18.

  • Jumpstart assists with the cost associated with registration, equipment and/or  transportation

  • Funding up to $300 per child is available.

  • A maximum of one program per child is allowed per season.

  • Funding is available for different members of the same family during the same season.

Lace me up!

We are happy to inform you that our 2020 Lace’Em Up Hockey Registration Grant is now open. Applications will close on September 30th or until funds run out. Please encourage your players to apply early as funds are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have updated our funding policies for this season. We are currently accepting, reviewing, and awarding grants for the 2020-2021 hockey season but we will not be sending any monies until the end of September. All cheques will be sent directly to the hockey associations along with a list of players that were accepted. During this unprecedented time, we will wait and see how the pandemic unfolds in the fall and make sure that our recipients will still be able to play organized hockey at the end of the September. Unfortunately, the outbreak had a huge negative impact on all kinds of sports. At Lace’Em Up, we are optimistic and hope for a great hockey season.

If you have any questions please email us at info@laceemup.ca

Champions for Kids (UCDSB)

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) Champions for Kids Foundation (C4K) is a charity formed in January 2008 to discreetly help level the playing field for UCDSB children and their families.

Although our main focus is to assist families in allowing their children to participate in sports, arts and other fun activities outside of school hours, we also meet unique needs like covering minor medical expenses (i.e. eyeglasses), providing gas cards to parents with a child in the hospital, or purchasing a winter coat for a child who needs warmth.

There isn't always enough money to provide the extras that make childhood more fun and enjoyable. That's where we come in.

The Good Samaritan Trust Fund  (CDSBEO)

The Good Samaritan Trust Fund has been established, in an effort to support those in our Catholic schools whose learning would be enhanced by the benefits it provides, and in keeping with the mission of Jesus Christ, whose primary concern was for the poor and marginalized.

Applications are submitted via the School Principal to the Board of Directors.  Applications are assessed based on need and granted upon board approval.
