2026/2027 Competitive Tryout Schedule

CPGHA 2026/2027 TRYOUT SCHEDULE:

Welcome to the CPGHA 2026/2027 Tryout Season! Below you will find the complete tryout schedule, organized by age group and level. Please review carefully and make note of all dates, times, and locations for your player’s division.

Important: Tryout Jersey Pickup

All players are required to pick up their tryout jerseys in advance. This is mandatory for participation in tryouts. Jerseys must be picked up prior to the first tryout session.

• U18: April 13 at 7:00 PM - CP Arena
• U13: April 14 at 7:00 PM - CP Arena
• U15: April 14 at 7:30 PM - CP Arena

U9 and U11 will receive jerseys at the first scheduled tryout session. 

Tryout jerseys will be used for all sessions, and each player will keep the same number throughout the tryout process. This season, jerseys are reversible, allowing for easy player identification by evaluators and consistent team colours during drills and game play.

We understand that scheduling conflicts may arise due to overlapping tryouts with other organizations or late registrations. We will work with players and families in these situations. If you require accommodations, please contact the Competitive or HP Directors to make appropriate arrangements.

Tryout Viewing Guidelines

To ensure a fair, safe, and respectful environment for all participants, the following guidelines will be in place for all tryout sessions:

• Tryouts will be open for parents and guardians to observe from the stands.
• Filming, photography, or recording of any kind is strictly prohibited.
• Spectators must remain in the stands at all times; viewing from the glass is not permitted.
• Access to dressing rooms is restricted to assigned team staff (e.g., den moms) only. No other individuals are permitted at any time.

Important Goalie Information - UPDATED

Goalie Evaluation Sessions are a required component of the tryout process for all goalies registering for competitive teams within their age group.

To support a structured and effective evaluation environment, goalies will be divided into smaller groups. Group assignments and session details will be communicated approximately one week prior to the scheduled session.

Sessions are designed to maximize the 1.5 hours of half-ice time, providing focused opportunities for evaluation.

Please note: Goalies are required to attend both their designated goalie-only sessions and their scheduled team tryout sessions, even if they occur on the same day.
