Cage Hang. Protect your Game!

🏒 Check Your Cage. Protect Your Game.

Properly fitted equipment is an important part of keeping our players safe on the ice.

Before every game and practice, players should take a moment to make sure their helmet and cage are properly fitted, securely fastened, and in good condition.

A properly fitted cage should:

  • Be securely locked inside the J-clips
  • Have the chin cup snug against the chin
  • Have all straps and snaps properly adjusted and fastened
  • Have a current, untampered CSA certification sticker
  • Never be loose, damaged, improperly positioned, or missing required components

Officials are required to enforce Hockey Canada Rule 3.6 when equipment does not meet the requirements. Players may be required to leave the ice to correct their equipment, and penalties may apply for failure to comply.

Parents and players: please take a few seconds to check your equipment before hitting the ice.

Check it. Adjust it. Secure it. Then hit the ice!

Play smart. Play safe. Protect your game. 🏒💙💛
