Hello!
For those who don’t know me, my name is Ryan Guthrie and I have the honour of being the Cyclones U13 House team’s Head Coach. I can’t wait to get started this hockey season! I love hockey! I love team sports! I love exclamation marks! I’ve been involved with hockey for pretty much my entire life. I still play today, as a goalie, stopping all of Joe Chalmers breakaway opportunities. I think we’ll have a great team this year and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun! Once we have our team officially announced, I will name the rest of our coaching staff. I’ll be sure to add personnel that can bring knowledge, abilities and great personalities to compliment our team. Hockey is a game and games are meant to be fun. We will be doing our best to promote that fun experience to the players while also developing their skills. The coaching staff and I will help the players achieve their goals as well as the team goals. The team concept is very important to me. Everyone on this team will have an important role. This includes the parents. You are important to help keep this experience a positive one for everyone involved. I’ve shared a video below that I made for our team made last year. I think it captures the experience we had last year and I am hoping to duplicate this year.
Thanks,
Ryan Guthrie
